Abstract
Despite important advances in the struggle for racial equality in Europe, substantial obstacles still exist, particularly in the areas of criminal justice, immigration, and anti-terrorism. Racial, ethnic, and religious minorities, however, are resisting discriminatory profiling by police and other authorities through legal, political and community-based efforts across the region.
